Huawei Nova 8 SE began receiving February 2022 HarmonyOS security update
Huawei Nova 8 SE is now getting a February 2022 security update, which was already reached a bunch of devices including Nova 8, Nova 8 Pro, Nova 7 series, and more. However, the Nova 8 SE update rolling out in China and will soon expand to other regions.
The February 2022 update for Huawei Nova 8 SE comes with HarmonyOS build version 2.0.0.223. Further, the corresponding device users required the baseline HM OS version 2.0.0.222 to receive the latest update.
With February 2022 security patch, Huawei has resolved 1 medium and 1 critical level of CVE in the system. In addition to this, 1 critical, 9 high, and 30 medium levels of CVEs were fixed in the third-party libraries.
Before heading towards the update, make sure that your smartphone should be charged 30% or above and have more than 500MB of free space. Also, once the process started don’t interrupt it until it completes automatically.
Just now, Huawei has officially confirmed the global launch of a new smartphone and released the first teaser as well. But, the company has not disclosed the name of this smartphone.
Further, it is reported that this upcoming phone could be Huawei Nova 9 SE equipped with a 108MP rear camera and pre-packed with EMUI 12. Still, more official information is yet to come to confirm such leaked specs.
To install update:
Press the phone’s setting option to open the settings. Then, click on system & updates followed by software updates and CHECK FOR UPDATES. Once the update appears on your device, hit the download and install button. After the process is done, the device will automatically reboot.
Alternatively, you can also request updates via the My Huawei app. First, make sure that the app is running on the latest version. Go to the update section and check for updates as well as follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update.
