Huawei Nova 5z receiving March 2022 HarmonyOS security patch
Huawei Nova 5z has started receiving the latest HarmonyOS security patch released in March 2022. It protects the device against threats by fixing different levels of exploits and issues detected in the latest software version.
However, the Huawei Nova 5 series’ rest of the models including Nova 5i and 5i Pro has already installed the latest security improvements. In the latest edition, the March 2022 security patch for Huawei Nova 5z is rolling out with HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.212.
To receive this update, please sure that your phone is currently running on HarmonyOS 2.0.0.211 version. Otherwise, you will not get this update. The size is unknown at the moment but it will be regular.
To be noted, the smartphone must be charged at least 30% and above as well as have a sufficient amount of storage to download the update. Also, make back up of your important data to prevent data loss in any condition and use stable data connection.

With March 2022 HarmonyOS security patch, Huawei has fixed over 35 CVEs in which 2 CVEs are from the kernel, 8 CVEs found in the system and a total of 25 CVEs were resolved in the third-party libraries for improved system security.
Here are the update steps:
You can update the smartphone by navigating the phone’s settings, system & updates, and software updates. Afterward, there is a page with a check for updates option, tap on it, and wait for the phone to get the latest update for you. Once the update is found, hit the download and installs button.
On the other hand, the same task can be performed through the My Huawei app. Open My Huawei app, go to update sections, and follow the on-screen instruction to install the latest update.
