Huawei Nova 5, 5i Pro and 5z starts receiving November 2020 security patch
Huawei has kicked off a new software update for Huawei Nova 5, 5i Pro, and 5z users. This update mainly comes with a security patch released in November 2020, which improves system security.
In the meantime time, Huawei is recruiting its device for EMUI 11 beta testing. This testing provides an opportunity to register users to test the new EMUI 11 features. However, the Nova 5/5i Pro/5z smartphones are eligible for EMUI 11 beta but, they have to wait for the officially EMUI 11 beta testing announcement.

What’s New in this update:
Version: Huawei Nova 5/5i Pro/5z receiving EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.95 updated from 10.1.0.94.
Security: Installs October 2020 security patch that improves system security and fixes the different levels of exploits and issues including 3 critical and 15 high-levels of CVE’s.

HOW TO UPDATE:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download
Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
NOTE:
- This update is currently rolling out in China.
- The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
- The update will not erase any data
