Huawei Nova 4 gets EMUI 12, Huawei renovates a good old smartphone

Huawei EMUI 12 is now rolling out for Nova 4 smartphone, with this installation, Huawei also aims to renovate this good old mid-range smartphone with lots of new features offered by the EMUI version.

Huawei Nova 4 has been one of the most important Huawei smartphones in the global market and the company has already sent consecutive OS upgrades to this device. However, the installation of EMUI 12 is essential, and directly sent this phone from EMUI 10.0 to EMUI 12.

According to the changelog,  Huawei Nova 4 EMUI 12 software update comes with EMUI 12 version 12.0.0.223 upgrading from EMUI 10.0.0.195. The package size may vary a bit and you’ll get to see a big changelog in features that weren’t available on EMUI 10.

This is a major development for the Huawei Nova 4 smartphone and the device owners will welcome this rollout as it brings loads of new features such as a Control Panel, a device center, better and smooth animations, and a new user interface that looks like the HarmonyOS operating system.

The Chiense models of Huawei Nova 4 runs the HarmonyOS operation system and since then, these devices continue to get new system patches and improvement for better performance. However, the global devices have been waiting for the same treatment from the tech giant and EMUI 12 could be taken as a complimentary gift to that so-called wait.

How to check:

Huawei Nova 10 users can download the latest software update by visiting the Software update settings visiting System & updates > from here tap on the Software updates and then tap on CHECK FOR UPDATES. Afterward, the system will fetch information from the server and get down the firmware related to your Nova 4. On the other hand, you can also fetch this firmware from the My Huawei app, which you can use in the Update section to download and install the latest EMUI 12 version.

However, you can keep some precautions, since it’s a major software update, you can backup important files to prevent any unwanted deletion of important data. Hereafter you can also keep a sufficient amount of battery and space in your phone’s internal storage to store the update package.
