Huawei Nova 3i receiving February EMUI security update

Honor Play is the first Honor device to receive the February 2020 security patch, and now the Huawei Nova 3i has also joined this league to get the latest security enhancements.

Huawei Nova 3i is receiving a new EMUI update which brings the latest security improvements of February 2020.

The February 2020 security comes with Google security patches and fixes 2 critical and 20 high levels of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).

One of the critical CVE-2020-0022 AKA BlueFrag is also fixed in this update, which allows silent code execution on the device that leads to data theft and spreading malware.

EMUI Versions:

Huawei Nova 3i is receiving this update with EMUI version 9.1.0.280 and a size of 112MB.

Note: EMUI version and size may vary depending on the region/country

EMUI 10:

Huawei has denied EMUI 10 for this smartphone along with Nova 3, but if anything new appears about these devices, we’ll keep you posted.

Check for the update via HiCare/Support:

Open HiCare or Support app
Click on ‘Services’ tab
Click on ‘Update’
Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
Click on ‘Download and install’
