Huawei Nova 3 receiving new update with Huawei Assistant, Browser, Smart charge and more

Huawei is sending back to back two new software updates for Huawei Nova 3 users. These new updates added new features and install security patches released in July and August for better security and improve overall user experience.

In July, Huawei Nova 3i received similar features with May 2020 security patch. So, there is much possibility that the company will soon release a new security update for the Nova 3i smartphone.

Security: Integrated Android security patches released in August 2020 for improved system security.

August 2020 Security Patch Details:

August 2020 security update install security patches fixes different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 2 critical and 21 high levels of CVEs.

SOFTWARE VERSION:

August 2020 security update for Huawei Nova 3 comes with EMUI 9.1 version 9.1.0.402 and a package size of 227MB.

JULY 2020 CHANGELOG:

Huawei Assistant: Adds Huawei Assistant to the home screen providing smart reminders, personalized news, and other content relevant to you.

Apps: Adds the Huawei Browser app, providing you with secure, convenient web browsing and searching services.

Battery: Adds the Smart Charge mode, reducing battery aging by adapting to your charging routine through AI learning and preventing the battery from being continuously charged when full. (This feature is enabled by default.)

Adds the Smart Battery Capacity feature, reducing battery aging by intelligently adjusting the battery capacity according to the battery status. Go to Settings > Battery > More battery settings and enable Smart Battery Capacity to try it out.
