Huawei Nova 12s gets EMUI 14.2.0.135 with June 2024 security patch
Huawei Nova 12s users are getting a new EMUI update which installs the June 2024 security patch. The improvements-rich firmware holds useful security optimizations. It also helps in improving the device’s performance for a responsive experience.
Nova 12s is the global variant of the Nova 12 Lite Chinese unit. But the difference appears in the operating system. Huawei has packed EMUI 14 into the new handset with interesting features like emoji wallpaper, animated weather wallpaper, and more.
The company is now releasing a new update for Huawei Nova 12s with June 2024 security patch. The latest firmware is arriving with EMUI 14.2 version 14.2.0.135. Users need to download a software package worth 339 Megabytes to their handsets.
June 2024 firmware doesn’t bring any major improvements except for the security patches. Although users will observe better functioning of the device without any lags or buffers. The patch further fills voids that could lead to malicious attacks.
The official details reveal that the June 2024 security patch fixes 8 CVEs related to user interface, lock screen module, and more. Hence, you should download the newest firmware for Nova 12s at the earliest for a bug-free experience.

Apart from regular rollouts, Huawei is planning to add a new member to the Nova lineup – as a foldable. The company is allegedly working on a mid-range “Nova Folding Phone” which is said to touch the user ground the next month.
It would be interesting to see if Huawei introduces this foldable to the global surface as users are still awaiting the Pocket 2 launch in the overseas market.
