Huawei Nova 12 Pro may only sell online following Nova 13 launch
Huawei Nova 12 Pro may only be available at online shopping stores after the Nova 13 series launch. The company could remove the previous-gen handsets to promote the upcoming high-end lineup and increase sales in the smartphone market.
UncleKanshan notes that the Huawei Nova 13 series launch may affect its predecessors to some extent. The Nova 12 Ultra and Lite models could continue to sell in online and offline stores. However, that won’t be the case with the Pro variants.
The tipster says that Huawei will likely remove the Nova 12 Pro from offline shelves and make it available only in online stores. It won’t be discontinued completely but will be present partially in the Chinese smartphone market.
Consumers would still be able to purchase the respective model, but only from the VMall and other online shopping channels. Any such news for the standard Nova 12 is currently missing. We may get accurate details after the Nova 13 series launch.
Huawei often removes its previous-gen devices from the shopping stores for the new ones. The company adopted the same strategy during the Pura 70 launch. It removed the P60 series from the VMall just a few weeks after the Pura 70 release.
Earlier it seemed a software glitch. But the situation is still the same. P60 and Nova 12 series are demanding handsets in the market. Thus, Huawei might opt for this strategy to catch the consumers’ attention over new products than previous ones.
Huawei will unveil Nova 13 series smartphones on October 22. The devices are already open for pre-order activity. Consumers can visit the VMall and pay a 100 yuan deposit to reserve the device (standard or Pro) ahead of its official unveiling.
Nova 13 Pro is coming in a new avatar. The standard variant shows a similar design to the Nova 12. However this time, the company has enhanced the Pro model’s design. You can check the differences between Nova 13 and 13 Pro HERE.
