Huawei Nova 11i starts getting EMUI 14.2 with new features

There is good news for Huawei Nova 11i phone users as the feature-rich EMUI 14.2 software update has reached their doorstep. The firmware is arriving with many useful improvements over the previous version and holds several new features.

EMUI 14.2 has already made its way to the Nova 11 Pro. The company even pushed out the new upgrade to Nova Y91 smartphone users in the global market. However, it has been missing for the standard and the Nova 11i variants so far.

Now Huawei is releasing the major EMUI 14.2 update for the Nova 11i users. The initial update is showing up in Europe at present. However, the phone maker won’t take many days to expand the latest firmware and its benefits in more regions.

As per the changelog, the Huawei Nova 11i is receiving a major upgrade with EMUI 14.2.0.145 version. Make sure to have sufficient storage in your device as the package weighs 4.87GB. We also suggest using a stable Wi-Fi connection for installation.

Huawei has integrated several customization features into EMUI 14.2. A set of new themes will glorify your phone’s home screen and lock screen. Users can change the font or alter the clock on the lock screen with an appropriate selection of themes.

Emoji and Immersive Weather themes are also available that give a more interactive feel to users. The company has further added efficient features like Live View and SuperHub that make daily operations easier and more convenient for device owners.

EMUI 14.2 Changelog

• Magazine Themes: A new magazine-like layout theme that mixes and matches colors and patterns. The Headline theme offers six fonts to customize the clock on the lock screen. New themes also allow to extraction of colors from wallpaper to create matching app icons.
• Interactive Themes: Emoji theme as well as new weather background that changes automatically, based on the current weather and phone’s angle to offer interactive effects.
• Live View: Let you know the real-time status of apps on other services by showing alerts on the notifications bar. Tap the small window to grab more details.
• SuperHub: Simply drag and drop your files to transfer them from one app to another, or between devices. Long-press on texts and images, to add them to SuperHub and store them temporarily.
• Ark Engine: Provides a more enjoyable user experience by making app animations smoother and more stable.

With Nova 11i, Huawei has added one more device to the “EMUI 14.2 upgrade received” list. The company has pushed of the new update to flagship models like P60 Pro, Mate 50 Pro, Mate X3, Mate Xs 2, Nova 11 Pro, and many more. However, there are still some devices left in the background.

Moreover, the tech giant has not confirmed whether it will serve the new firmware benefits to older devices in the future. For now, we can only anticipate the company to clear the mist on this matter soon.
