Huawei Kirin 8 series refers to the mid-range chip products and it looks like the Chinese tech giant could soon bring a new addition to this line. A recent input has shared some insights about the upcoming Kirin chipsets for Huawei devices.

Kirin 9010 processor has just made its debut with the high-end Huawei Pura 70 models but it seems, the company has more self-developed chips under its sleeves.

Weibo tipster @SmartPikachu says that Huawei not only has a single Kirin 9010 chip product for this year but also a mid-range Kirin 8 series which is likely to launch later in 2024. Alongside, there could be a flagship chipset, probably for Mate 70 devices.

At the onset of this year, Huawei introduced the Kirin 8000 processor for the Nova 12 Pro smartphone. It stores 5G network capabilities and is one step ahead of the previous mid-range chipsets (Kirin 810, Kirin 820 5G), offering better performance.

Even though the leak doesn’t reveal any major details, parameters, or the core configuration of the upcoming Kirin 8 chip, it points out the company has more chips to unveil this year with proficient features and powerful functioning aspects.

Flagship Chip:

It is worth mentioning that apart from the Kirin 8 chip, Huawei could also bring a new flagship chip on the stage this year. Probably, this premium-level processor will use advanced NPU solutions, a 64-bit core structure, and significant AI facilities.

While Huawei is looking forward to new Kirin products, the U.S. is putting efforts to pull down the company from making cutting-edge chips. In a recent interview, the US Commerce Secretary – Gina Raimondo said that China is still years behind in chip-making technology compared to the US Tech.

Yet Huawei is constantly working with new partners to come out with the challenging situation and offer beneficial experiences to its customers.
