Huawei may use customized main camera sensors for Mate 70 flagship
Huawei Mate 70 series began making headlines over the internet and a new input suggests that the company could opt for customized main camera sensors for the next flagship. These sensors seem to bear effective and powerful capabilities.
Weibo tipster @SmartPikachu says the Huawei Mate 70 and Xiaomi 15 series will likely prefer Howe (Haowei) supplier for customized main camera sensors. These lenses will be ‘far ahead’ of the previous-generation smartphone models.
At the same time, the detail implies that the Chinese tech giant is likely to order integrated circuits, developed and customized by Howe on a large scale for the Mate 70 series. However, the company has not confirmed the information so far.
Huawei is also considering the respective lens supplier for the P70 series. As per the details, the company is looking for an upgraded and innovative periscope camera solution for the next P lineup, which is under development by Howe.
The information further shows that Huawei seems to support Chinese suppliers and help them grow economically. The P70 series is already in the race to boost the demand for the flagship camera lens in the region. Perhaps, the Mate 70 lineup will continue this strategy in the time ahead.
Mate 70 Series: Main Camera
Earlier, we reported that the Huawei Mate 70 series may use the OV50K main camera sensor. Although this could be used in one of the models from the series. Meanwhile, the top-end variants could opt for the main lens from Howe.
Last year, the Huawei Mate 60 Pro phone arrived with the Sony IMX766 primary shooter. Accompanying the advanced XMAGE imaging system, the device is capable of providing excellent optical performance and photography experience.
However, it would be worth seeing how the upcoming Mate 70 models will differ from its predecessors in terms of camera segment and overall optical functioning.
