Huawei may soon rollout Air gesture file transfer feature to more devices

Huawei has introduced many AI-powered features with the Mate 70 devices and one of them is the Air gesture file transfer feature. It looks like the tech giant will soon roll out this amazing capability to more flagship smartphones and tablets.

Air gesture file transfer is an interesting feature. It gives the power to easily manage file-sharing operations. One can easily share any media, especially images by just moving their hands in the air, without even touching the device’s screen.

It’s similar to the iPhone’s AirDrop feature but is far more efficient. Users can simply use the grab gesture to screenshot the display. Hereafter, just make movements from your hands to share the captured image on multiple phones or tablets.

As per a new input, the feature requires the same Huawei ID and account that the user has been using before. Make sure not to permit two devices together to detect the “grab” gesture, or else, the file-sharing operation will fail instantly.

Notably, the Huawei Mate 60 and Pura 70 devices running on the latest HarmonyOS NEXT beta version also support the AI air gesture file transfer feature.

The Huawei flagship store staff said that the company will roll out the new AI gesture to more devices when upgraded to the HarmonyOS NEXT software system. Although consumers have to wait for the official announcement on this matter.

HarmonyOS NEXT beta version is currently available for the following devices:

  • Huawei Mate 60 series
  • Huawei Pura 70 series
  • Huawei Pocket 2
  • Huawei Mate X5
  • Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2
  • Huawei MatePad Pro 11 2024

Perhaps these models would be the first to get the new AI Air gesture file transfer feature in the time ahead. Things will be more clear with an official statement.
