Huawei may launch new Qingyun PC this month with Kirin 9000C chip
A new input suggests that Huawei is working on a new Qingyun PC which is likely to launch this month with a fresh Kirin 9000C chipset. The company seems ready to unveil another high-end processor on the ground after the Kirin 9000S1/9010 chips.
Weibo tipster @UncleKanshan mentioned that Huawei will release a new Qingyun W515x PC in May equipped with a Kirin 9000C chip. The leak also implies that the upcoming processor might consist of an octa-core architecture with 12 threads.
Note that 12 threads reflect to the number of large, medium, and small cores in the processor. Despite these numbers, the chip continues to be an octa-core SoC.
This happens due to the hyperthreading tech that enables more than one thread to run on each core. More threads allow you to operate more work on the device.
Further input states that the upcoming Huawei Qingyun PC product will run on the LPDDR5 RAM and support the Wi-Fi 6 network technology. It may also prefer the replacement of UFS hard disk and SSD, as well as, some important key specifications.
UncleKanshan noted that the Chinese tech giant is also developing KOS (Kirin Operating System) 2403 and UOS (Tongxin Unified Operating System) 1070.
It is worth noting that the company launched the Qingyun L540 last year with the Kirin 9006C chipset. It looks like the company is building up a new ‘C’ tagged processor and we find the official inputs on this subject in the upcoming days.
