Huawei MatePad Pro 2 retail box leaked, ‘Powered by HarmonyOS’ imprint shows beginning of new Huawei software ecosystem
Huawei is ready for its next biggest event called HarmonyOS Operating System and Huawei Full Scenario New Product launch conference in China and globally on June 2.
During the event, the Chinese tech giant will unveil HarmonyOS for smartphones along with other smart products – MatePad Pro 2 tablet, Watch 3 series smartwatches, and the Huawei P50 series flagship.
Today, a Weibo tipster – Uncle Mountain leaked the retail box of upcoming Huawei’s flagship tablet, MatePad Pro 2. By inspecting the packing box has an imprint of “Powered by HarmonyOS”.
It clearly suggests that Huawei MatePad Pro 2 will come factory packed with Huawei’s next-generation operating system, HarmonyOS. Not only the new OS reflects a matter of joy for the consumers but also a beginning of a brand new software ecosystem that’s originated by Huawei.

Huawei MatePad Pro 2 is powered by a 5nm Kirin 9000 processor, pre-installed HarmonyOS, and comes in two screen sizes – 12.6-inch and 10.8-inch. Furthermore, it at least has 8GB of RAM, 40W of charging power, and a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s also a 12.4-inch variant that could be unveiled with another name under the MatePad lineup.
