Huawei today will officially add two new members to its tablet gallery and ahead of that, the key specs of MatePad Pro 12.2 and Air 2024 surfaced online. A new input has shed light on the main parameters including chips of the upcoming tablets.
Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation has revealed the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 and Air 2024 specs before a few hours of their launch. Both tablets bring new capabilities and PC-level applications to deliver powerful and efficient performance.
Let’s explore the leaked specs of these tablets one by one!
MatePad Air 2024
Starting with the mid-range device, the MatePad Air is said to equip a 12-inch LCD screen with 2.8K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. It will have a peak brightness of 1000nits with a 3:2 aspect ratio and SuperMotion dynamic capability on board.
The tablet may sport an anti-glare, anti-fingerprint, and anti-reflective Papermate screen with improved visuals. It will bring a greater viewing experience than its predecessor.
Inputs reveal that MatePad Air 2024 will run on a Kirin 9000W chip. The same processor resides in the MatePad Pro 13.2. The CPU configuration is still unknown. However, users may observe flagship-level performance with the cost-effective tablet.
The device may use a dual rear camera arrangement with 13MP + 8MP and an 8MP front lens. It might bring a 10100mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
Other features include 6 high and low bass speakers, a 5.9mm thickness with 555 grams weight. Users will likely observe PC-level applications like WPS, Edraw tools, CAJ Viewer, as well as 3rd-gen NearLink technology for the stylus and the keyboard.
MatePad Pro 12.2
For the first time, Huawei is said to use a double-layer Tandem 12.2-inch OLED panel for its flagship MatePad Pro tablet. You can check the display’s benefits HERE.
This screen will sport a 2.8K resolution with 2000nits peak brightness as well as bring a soft light screen version. Compared to the Air version, this tablet could use a new chip – Kirin 9010W. But again, the CPU architecture is missing from the frames.
The camera structure for the rear and front remains the same as the Air 2024 model. It may weigh 508 grams with a 5.5mm thickness. The cell capacity counts 10000mAh with 100W super fast charging. Another useful feature is Beidou satellite SMS.
MatePad Pro 12.2 may consist of 8-drive high and low frequency 4 speaker units. Just like the Air variant, it will also support the NearLink tech for the stylus and keyboard.
Apart from these specs, both tablets will also feature a pre-install stable Born to Draw app version. These are also filled with AI services to further enhance the user experience. How far the above-leaked specs fit with the official details will be worth looking forward to. Stay tuned.
