Huawei is reportedly working on new notebooks and the latest leak on this matter states that the MateBook X Pro 2024 model could adopt the NearLink technology. Besides, there might be more interesting features and capabilities under the hood.

Weibo tipster @FixedFocus says that the upcoming Huawei MateBook X Pro model is likely to bring NearLink technology. While the tipster didn’t talk about the launch date of this notebook, it hints that the device will pack amazing functions.

What is NearLink Technology?

A few months back, the Chinese tech giant unveiled a new generation of short-range wireless connection tech called NearLink. Eventually, it runs on a set of standards to bring the benefits of traditional wireless methods such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi together, offering stronger and more reliable connectivity.

On the greener side, NearLink technology exhibits 60% lower power consumption, 6 times higher speed, 1/30 delay, and 10 times higher number of network connections. It delivers safer connections to PCs, phones, and car users.

Currently, the Huawei Mate 60 series and the MatePad Pro 13.2 tablet support the new connectivity standard. Meanwhile, the company may impose NearLink technology on its upcoming devices including the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2024.

Two new notebooks coming this year!

Some previous reports clue that the Chinese tech giant may unveil two new notebooks this year named MateBook 14 2024 and the MateBook X Pro 2024. Both these devices could showcase significant upgrades in the overall design aesthetics.

At the same time, Huawei could use the 14th-gen Intel core processors for these alleged laptops. However, these noteworthy changes won’t affect the pricing. The detail reveals that these notebooks will cost the same as their predecessors.

Moreover, the company has almost completed the HarmonyOS PC development and we could see the new software with the above-listed notebook. Though a confirmation on this subject still awaits.
