Huawei Mate XT unfolds new chapter of innovation for Samsung and Apple

Another impressive segment is the Z form. Unlike the normal V-shape, the Mate XT has adopted a zig-zag folding pattern which is quite appealing. This has been possible due to the dual-hinge system which uses two new display solutions:

• UTG large screen
• Non-Newtonian fluid

The former is applied to the internal screen to avoid stress on the folding part. Whereas, the latter is for the external display. It remains between the display panels and makes the foldable phone resistant to drop and other risky situations.

Huawei has also surprised folding phone users by introducing the thinnest battery of the Mate XT. The device equips a single thin cell of 1.9mm worth 5600mAh capacity.

Well, that reminds us of the device’s thickness! Ironically, the Huawei tri-fold measures the same as the Galaxy Z Fold 6 regardless of the three folding screens. That’s not us, but a recent analysis by smartphone users on the Reddit platform.

Mate XT is 12.8mm thick whereas Samsung’s latest book-type foldable is 12.1mm in width. The South Korean tech giant is a winner in this spec war but loses when the device is compared in front of the naked eye. You can check the image below.

Octagonal camera ring and the plain leather texture with a rich red color on the back uplift the design standards to the next level. The waistline patterns on the golden hinge reflect that Huawei has crafted this device with cutting-edge processes.
