Huawei Mate Xs 2 finally begins satellite news testing
Today, Huawei officially announced satellite communication feature beta testing for Mate Xs 2 smartphone using BeiDou satellite, allowing you to communicate without a cell network. According to the information, the users of this phone will now be able to test ahead of the public release.
Moving forward, Huawei Mate Xs 2 users could apply for satellite communication public beta testing via the My Huawei app and participate in the activity.
On the other hand, we witnessed the launch of this feature Huawei Mate 50 series in September as it allows you to communicate in worst-case scenarios.
In theory, the Satellite communication feature allows you to send SMS to a recipient without requiring a mobile network. The supported device just needs to point out towards the sky to match the signal with the satellite and it’ll send out the message.
A previous report reveals that Huawei is working to bring more features such as two-way communication to also receiving an SMS, and even short voice calls, in any case of emergency.
