Huawei Mate X6 storage variants likely to be same as predecessor

A new leak suggests that Huawei Mate X6 will likely bring the same storage variants as its predecessor. The company could adopt notable changes in terms of design but might keep a few segments unchanged for its upcoming dual-foldable phone.

Weibo tipster @FixedFocus says that the new Huawei Mate X6 folding handset is thinner than the previous generation model. It will likely use the Mate XT-inspired look with more flat edges and a textured plain leather back panel.

But Huawei Mate X6 storage variants and the camera module could be similar to the predecessor. It may feature the same circular optical bump on the rear side, housing a squarish lens frame. One can expect changes in terms of camera sensors.

Regarding storage, the Huawei Mate X6 foldable could feature three options for the standard model and two for the Collector’s Edition (if any).

For reference, the Huawei Mate X5 has three RAM + storage options while the Collector’s Edition brings two storage variants. All these versions are as follows:

Mate X5 Standard:

• 12GB + 256GB Storage
• 12GB + 512GB Storage
• 16GB + 512GB Storage

Mate X5 Collector’s Edition

• 16GB + 512GB Storage
• 16GB + 1TB Storage

We may find the same variants for the new-gen foldable as well. The device will further bring three bashing shades: Black, Blue, and Red for the plain leather variant, and a silver glossy color for the glass back panel.

Huawei hasn’t revealed the launch time for the Mate X6. Although a few inputs predicted that the device will release alongside the Mate 70 series. It may land on the user ground by the end of this month, probably November 26, 2024.
