Huawei Mate X6 likely to feature a 1.6MP infrared camera sensor

Huawei Mate X6 foldable will go official today and before that, a new input says the device may sport a 1.6MP infrared camera sensor. The tiny lens is said to ensure better temperature detection and manage security operations in dark environments.

A Weibo tipster recently noted that the Huawei Mate X6 foldable will feature a 1.6MP infrared camera sensor. The lens is integrated into the camera module with a 50MP primary snapper, a 40MP ultra-wide angle, and a 12MP periscope lens.

Simply put, the Mate X6 could bring a quad-camera setup on its back. The Chinese tech giant hasn’t confirmed these details yet. But we will find the official parameters this afternoon at the Mate 70 series launch event. So, stay tuned.
