Huawei Mate X6 has now stepped on the sale shelf, and we’re here to share with you the 5 new changes of this foldable over its predecessors. The tech-pack model brings unique capabilities, including design, camera, AI features, and a whole new level of performance.

So let’s dive into the 5 new changes to the Huawei Mate X6 foldable!

1. Thinner and Bigger Design

Although the Huawei Mate X6 looks similar to its predecessors, it is winning hearts for its thinner design and bigger display panels. In slimness, the device measures 4.6mm when unfolded, becoming the thinnest horizontal foldable in the consumer market.

It weighs 239 grams, offering a lightweight feel to the hands. Don’t worry about its durability as the device uses distributed basalt body architecture. It comes with a waterdrop hinge which is portable and ensures smoother opening and closing of the device.

Bigger displays: Huawei Mate X6 features a 7.93-inch internal screen whereas, a 6.45-inch external screen which is quite bigger than the Mate X5 handset.

2. Quad Camera Setup

Mate X5 came with a three-lens arrangement, but Mate X6 carries four lenses on its back: a 50MP super-focus primary shooter (variable aperture + OIS + RYYB), a 40MP ultrawide-angle snapper (RYYB), a 48MP telephoto macro sensor (OIS + RYYB), and a 1.5MP multi-spectral sensor.

Here, the changes are variable aperture in the primary camera, a jump from 13MP to 40MP in the ultrawide sensor, and a 48MP telephoto camera with 4x zoom capability.

Also, the 1.5MP camera is the most special sensor that ensures accurate color restoration irrespective of the light intake or distance of the subject and provides brighter shots with every click.

3. Powerful Performance = Kirin 9020

Huawei has equipped the Kirin 9020 chipset and HarmonyOS NEXT to the new foldable phone. The chipset is 20% more power efficient than the previous-gen (Kirin 9000s) chip. It also integrates a special satellite SoC to offer the best communication experience at different levels of the network.

On the flip side, HarmonyOS NEXT accompanies a faster, smoother, and safer experience on board. One can even choose to remain on the HarmonyOS 4.3 software version to use Android applications.

4. Satellite and AI Features

Huawei Mate X6 brings a new satellite communication feature called “satellite paging”. It reminds you of satellite messages without pointing the device toward the satellite.

Celia assistant, on the flip side, unlocks new AI functions like enhanced split-screen mode, fast document generation, smart expansion or content creation, Air Shooting, Air gesture file sharing, and more.

5. Battery
