Huawei Mate X6 foldable could launch in second half of this year
Huawei is preparing flagship Mate products for the second half of this year and alongside standard phones, consumers may greet the Mate X6 foldable on the stage. A new leak hints that powerful devices are on the way and show up later in 2024.
Tipster @SmartPikachu reports that Huawei will launch amazing handsets this year, including the Mate X6 foldable. For timeline, the leak mentions that the Chinese tech giant will likely upgrade its X series folding phone in the second half of this year.
According to flashbacks, Huawei unveiled Mate X5 for Chinese consumers in early September. Hence, we could find the next folding gadget of this line around the same time. There is also a chance to see the device sharing the stage with the Mate 70.
Some previous inputs revealed that the tech maker has been working on the Mate X6 phone for a while. It says that the stock volume for the new fold is enough for now.
The same leak mentioned that Huawei has several new chips with N+2 architecture for its upcoming devices. Thus, we can expect to see the Mate X6 with a tech-pack powerful Kirin chipset. But things are quite uncertain for the time being.
Huawei Mate X5:
Launched on September 08, Huawei Mate X5 made its way to the surface, passing over the Mate X4 foldable. It landed on the ground with EMUI for global users and HarmonyOS 4 for China. Like Mate 60 Pro, it has the Kirin 9000s in its base.
Mate X5 sports a triple-cam setup on the back with 50MP + 13MP + 12MP lenses and an 8MP selfie shooter. It also supports the Beidou satellite SMS feature, contains two high-silicon anode batteries with a capacity of 5000mAh, and supports a 66W charger.
For Mate X6, there might be significant upgrades in terms of the satellite features, design, hinge solutions, and Kirin processor. Although official words on this subject still await.
