We’re in September 2024 and so is Huawei as the company is now releasing a new security update for the Mate X3 foldable phone. The latest firmware contains some new security improvements to provide a safer experience to the device owners.

Mate X3 is the first device to grab the September 2024 EMUI security patch. The company will soon expand the newest security optimizations to more flagship and mid-range devices.

September 2024 security patch fixes 13 vulnerabilities. All these exploits are of medium level and mainly target the camera and settings module. The company has also repaired 20 third-party library defects that could ruin the overall user experience.

The changelog reveals that the Huawei Mate X3 is getting the September 2024 update with the EMUI 14.2.0.150 version and a software package of 398 Megabytes. There’s nothing else in the changelog except a new security patch.

For starters, this update is rolling out in batches and may take some time to approach all the units in the global market. However, you can keep an eye on the update section of your device to install the firmware manually.
