Huawei Mate X2 with 1TB storage + 12GB RAM launching soon
New-gen foldable phone – Huawei Mate X2 is about to get 12GB RAM and a giant 1TB storage variant. A Weibo tipster reveals that Huawei Mate X2 will be branded with Spring Festival special edition for the consumers in China.
According to the tipster, the Huawei Mate X2 Spring Festival will be a special edition with 12GB of RAM and 1TB internal storage and it could price at 20,999 yuan (2,898 Euros). However, it’s also revealed that this new Mate X2 will only be available at offline stores and online availability is yet to be confirmed.
Current Versions:
Huawei Mate X2 is already available with the following memory variants:
- 8GB RAM + 256GB of internal storage
- 8GB RAM + 512GB storage
- 12GB RAM + 512GB storage
However, the latest edition will add a new flavor of extra storage to this device.

In November 2021, Huawei unveiled the Mate X2 leather version with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage priced at 18,999 yuan.

Huawei Mate X2 folds inward and features two displays. This foldable phone expands 146.2 x 161.3 x 11mm dimensions. While being folded, the phone wears 146.2 x 78.5 x 11mm dimensions.
It has an 8-inch main folding screen with 2480 X 2200p pixel resolution, 413PPI accuracy, and 180Hz touch sampling support. Meanwhile, the secondary display of a 6.4-inch OLED screen has 2700 x 1160p resolution, 456 PPI sharpness, and 240Hz touch sampling rate.
The Mate X2 offers 8GB RAM to support maximum processing speed and 256GB of storage capacity. It’ll pack with a 4500mAh battery, 4G network, BT 5.2, Wi-Fi 6+ technology, GSM, HSPA, sensors, and more.
There is a quad-camera that includes a 50MP wide-angle primary lens, a 16MP ultra wide-angle secondary lens, a 12MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP Periscope super zoom lens with an LED flashlight. While the front side has 16MP wide-angle camera.
