Huawei officially confirmed its appearance for IFA 2019, Kirin 990, 5G and more
Yanmin Wang, president of CEE, Nordic and Canadian Regions of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group, confirmed to TechRadar that the company’s Kirin 990 chip would be coming in the next foldable, the Huawei Mate X.
Back in February, Huawei unveiled Mate X at MWC 2019 powered by Kirin 980 processor and later delayed its launching due to further optimization, which also includes a new processor.
According to recent information, Huawei Mate X will also adopt P30 Pro’s camera lens and the fold release button is also redesigned under new optimizations.
Although, this processor will first be seen on Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro flagships followed by Mate X in November and then Honor devices including V30/View 30 and Magic 3.
Since Mate X is a 5G device and we’ll see whether Huawei brings a new 5G embedded Kirin 990 processor or it’ll use processor and modem separately.
Moreover, Huawei has officially announced its participation for at IFA 2019 on September 6, where it’ll announce its latest flagship processor along with other products.
