Huawei Mate X price expected to be lower in China compared to other markets

Huawei‘s foldable smartphone Huawei Mate X is slated to be launched in July but its listing in China is expected to be happening a month earlier with a price tag lower than other countries.

On April 30, during a press 5G mobile conference held in Chengdu, China. A person related to Huawei revealed that the Huawei Mate X is expected to be listed in June this year in the domestic market, and its price in China will be slightly lower compared to other countries’ prices, which is 2299 Euro ($2600).

Although, there’s no official confirmation available on this matter but as a home ground, this could be possible due to a low tax rate on manufacturing, in comparison of shipping to other market costing a higher amount of tax rate.



Yesterday, we’ve confirmed that Huawei’s first 5G device will be Mate 20X 5G and not the Mate X, which will launch somewhere in this second quarter.

Huawei Mate X has a foldable display design, powered by Kirin 980 Processor + Balong 5000 5G modem. The display of the device in unfolded position measures at 8-inches, and in the fold the display measure 6.6 inches for the front panel, 6.38 inches for the back panel.
