Huawei Mate X (EMUI 11) folding smartphone grabbing May 2021 security update

The May 2021 security update is now reaching the first foldable smartphone of the Huawei – Huawei Mate X. With the launching of this phone, Huawei entered the industry of folding phones that symbolizes innovation.

This smartphone first debut in 2019 with a pre-installed EMUI 9.1 Android-based operating system. Furthermore, it received EMUI 10, EMUI 10.1, and EMUI 11 major software upgrades.

HarmonyOS 2.0 for Huawei Mate X:

Huawei Mate X users will be soon able to get their hands on the new HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system. At present, this smartphone is underway HarmonyOS 2 closed the beta testing program in China and receiving regular beta build to test new HM OS features.

According to the information, Huawei Mate X folding smartphone owners can upgrade their devices to EMUI 11.0.0.143 from EMUI 11.0.0.140.

May 2021 security patch details:

According to the information, this security update fixes different levels of exploits and issues including  3 critical, 10 high, and 4 medium levels of CVE for improved system security. In addition, it also resolves 13 hidden privacy issues found in previous firmware updates.

4. Tap Check for Updates
5. Download and Install
6. Install
