Huawei Mate has been copied but never surpassed in innovation: Chairman

On November 26, Huawei Consumer Business Chairman – Yu Chengdong said that Mate has always been leading in innovation and technology. With continuous innovation and hardware, the company will lead in the Chinese smartphone industry.

Huawei has two flagship smartphone lines: P/Pura and Mate. Both are the premium phone lineups in the industry. The first one focuses on imaging capabilities while the second one ensures robust performance with every new creation.

During the Mate 70 series launch event, the Chairman said that Huawei Mate has always been leading in innovation and technology. The Mate lineup has been copied many times due to its hardware capabilities and features but never surpassed.

Interestingly, Yu Chengdong mentioned the only thing that can surpass Mate is Mate! He further stated that Huawei believes in evolution. Only continuous innovation can help the company to take major steps and lead in the smartphone industry.

Over time, Huawei has made major changes in the Mate lineup. The firm introduced satellite communication with the Mate 50 series in 2022, Kirin 9000s with the Mate 60 series in 2023, and now several tech features with the Mate 70 smartphones.
