Huawei Mate 70 series stock volume allegedly increased to 17 million units
A new input says that Huawei Mate 70 series stock volume has increased by 17 million units. After seeing the tight supply conditions at the first sale, the company raised the production capacity by 30% to meet consumers’ purchasing demands.
Huawei opened the Mate 70 series for its first sale on December 04. Within a few hours, the company hung the “out of stock” and “sold out” boards in its stores.
Even the online VMall channel showed the “temporarily out of stock” tag. Some authorized stores confirmed that Huawei will refill the stock soon. Meanwhile, the standard Mate 70 is sufficient in stock and consumers can continue buying it.
Some Weibo tipsters now reported that Huawei has increased the Mate 70 stock volume to 17 million units. The company urgently raised the key parts and other components orders by 30% to meet the hot market demand for its flagship Mate 70.
As mentioned, the standard variant has enough supply but there’s more demand for Pro models in the market. Huawei will soon fill the stock with more units.
Mate 70 series “excessive” demand
In a recent interview, the CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group – He Gang said that the Mate 70’s “excessive” demand has resulted in a bit of a tight supply chain. However, the situation isn’t stressful as the supply chain is in action mode.
He mentioned that the supply chain team is working overtime to meet the consumers’ purchasing demands. And the latest input hints that the tech giant won’t take much time to improve the supply chain conditions for the dynamic handsets.
Mate 70 smartphones have surpassed 6.7 million reservations within a few days. A report by Debon Securities Research implies that Huawei unveiled many innovative products in the past few months. For instance, the tri-fold Mate XT, Nova 13 series, and now the flagship Mate 70 smartphones.
Perhaps, Huawei’s smartphone sales may see a major boost by the next year, and the supply chain will continue to benefit.
