Huawei Mate 60 series sales have reportedly surpassed 14 million units and this news ultimately raised expectations for the Mate 70 lineup. A new input hints that the upcoming Mate models will perform even better than their predecessors in sales.

Mate 60 series debuted last year in September. After years of struggle, the new lineup brought back the rule of Kirin 5G chipsets for Huawei phones and tablets.

Long queues emerged in the offline Huawei stores to catch the brand-new Mate 60 devices and experience the power of Kirin chips. Regardless of fewer units in stock, the devices reached 10 million units of delivery within four months of launch.

Other factors behind the Mate 60 series booming sales were AI features, high-end camera sensors, and the first-ever satellite calling feature for low-network areas.

Now Huawei is ready with its next smartphone lineup – Mate 70. The top-end models are rumored to bring a powerful and improved Kirin chipset on board. It will feature a dynamic rear camera setup to offer the best-ever photography experience.

This time, the company has also focused on some amazing AI-powered gestures that will ease daily phone operations like app cloning, media sharing, and more.

Despite top-of-the-line features, the Mate 70 series is said to have a similar price tag to its predecessors. Though the price isn’t confirmed, these factors will eventually help the lineup to attain a new sales record over the Mate 60 flagship.

The information reveals that with upgraded features and a similar price as the previous-gen models, Huawei Mate 70 series sales could be even better than the Mate 60 flagship and exceed 14 million units. But it’s still only an expectation.

Supply Chain sources mentioned that Mate 60 faced a stock shortage issue. Otherwise, it would have around 20 million unit shipments. Perhaps, Mate 70 could achieve this goal in the future.
