Huawei Mate 70 series will likely use new camera solutions to uplift the photography experience and one of these could be a powerful imaging chip. As per a new leak, the next Mate lineup will focus on better pictures and video recording capabilities.
Tipster @BeijingDigitalMaster says that the Huawei Mate 70 series has entered the ‘final stage’ of development. Perhaps we may soon see it on certification sites.
He also adds that the flagship Huawei Mate 70 series will likely adopt a new and significant ISP imaging chip to better focus on the video recording capability.
ISP refers to the Image Signal Processor. It’s a special processor that turns the raw image data into a usable form by performing certain operations—for instance noise reduction, auto exposure, autofocus, HDR correction, filtering, and more.
The particular chip also helps to achieve high-quality pictures or video recording scenarios with accuracy. Other details and key parameters of the respective chip are currently unknown. Yet we might get more input on this matter in the time ahead.

Huawei Mate 60 series: Video Capabilities
As per the official DXOMARK ranking, the Mate 60 series features fast, fairly effective, and accurate video stabilization. During the tests, the Pro+ model achieved the most excellent stability as well as precision results in video recording.
But the listing says that there’s still a lot of room for improvements in the video quality like textures, noises, and white balance compared to other high-end models.
The Chinese phone maker might fill these gaps with the upcoming Mate series. Huawei is already rumored to work with the newest OmniVision camera sensors that are highly efficient and upgrade imaging features for Pro-like capturing.
