Huawei Mate 70 series may use 3D spatial zoom and improved periscope lens

A new leak for Huawei Mate 70 series says that the flagship line will likely use a 3D spatial zoom feature. It also sheds light on the other parameters of the upcoming phones including display, charging, optical framework, and software-related upgrades.

Weibo tipster @SmartPikachu implies that the next Mate lineup could be full of major upgrades over predecessors. It may use optimized wireless charging and a new-gen variable aperture. An improved periscope lens is also expected to be in preparation.

Responding to a comment, the tipster clued Mate 70 series’s photography experience to be better than the Pura 70 series. Huawei is said to use new upcoming OmniVision camera sensors that will ultimately enhance the overall camera functionalities.

A 3D face recognition lens will also show up on the front side of the Mate 70 smartphones. But this capability is currently in the development phase.

Further inputs hint at a useful 3D spatial zoom feature for the Huawei Mate 70 series. With the new lineup, the company seems to improve the audio and video experience. This capability aims to go beyond 2D filters and offer immersive video quality.
