Huawei Mate 70 series was expected to follow Pura 70 screen sizes with improved display solutions. However, a new leak says otherwise. As per the latest inputs, the next Mate lineup could sport bigger screen sizes than the standard Pura 70 handset.

Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation says the Huawei Mate 70 series will adopt bigger screen sizes than the base Pura 70. He also noted that the upcoming flagship will equip a stronger battery than previous models with improved durability aspects.

For reference, the standard Huawei Pura 70 model has a 6.6-inch screen size. While others have a 6.77-inch (6.8) panel. The actual viewable area is slightly smaller than the given measures. Although Huawei might increase this area with Mate 70.

Inputs further reveal that the entire Huawei Mate 70 series will use a 6.7 or 6.8-inch screen. It will sport a 1.5K resolution for a clean and vibrant visual experience.

The leak contradicts earlier revelations to some extent. A previous input suggested that the upcoming Mate models will adopt the Pura 70 series screen sizes. It meant that the standard Mate 70 could equip a 6.6-inch screen whereas, others would use a 6.8-inch panel. But it seems all models will use the same screen size this time.

All the Mate 70 screens will likely feature triple front holes design and be stuffed with a selfie lens as well as a 3D face recognition tech. Though Huawei has not confirmed these revealings yet. Hence, we should take these inputs with a grain of salt.

The tipster also reveals that Huawei Mate 70 series will bring a stronger and improved battery. The cell capacity is unknown for the moment. Yet it could be greater than the Pura 70 handsets (5200mAh). Thus, users will get durable battery life.

Everything combined, Huawei is seemingly putting efforts to make the Mate 70 devices the best upgrade over both Mate 60 and Pura 70. New capabilities, a powerful Kirin chip, and HarmonyOS NEXT seem major reasons for the Mate 70 launch delay. It would be worth seeing what amazing changes will arrive with the next flagship.
