Weibo tipster @FixedFocus says that the Huawei Mate 70 series may adopt impressive satellite communication features. The new-gen satellite technology will mainly enhance the two-way messaging service for the upcoming flagship models.

It is unclear what new changes the Mate 70 series will bring in the satellite section. However, consumers can expect faster SMS deliveries, stronger signals, clearer communication on satellite calls, and some more surprising capabilities.

The Chinese tech giant introduced satellite communication with the Mate 50 series. Initially, it was limited to one-way interaction where users could only send messages to their contacts. Although the P60 series brought two-way messaging capability.

With the Mate 60 Pro, Huawei launched the satellite calling feature that enabled users to connect with their friends or family more accurately even without a cellular network. Meanwhile, Pura 70 introduced the satellite image-sending feature.

Judging from the upgrade strategy, Huawei may welcome more amazing satellite features with the upcoming Mate lineup. The exact changes will be known with the Mate 70 series’ official unveiling in November.

Mate 70 series: Changes

Huawei is not only focusing on major specs and features but also the minor segments with the Mate 70 series. Touch response is one of the highlights in this aspect.

The company is expected to use a new touch IC chip that can determine the touch position more precisely on the screen. As a result, the touch response would be faster and more responsive than the previous-generation models.

The fingerprint scanner is another key feature. Huawei will likely adopt a side fingerprint sensor for the standard and Pro models, while an optical sensor for the high-end Mate 70 variants. You can have a glimpse of the device’s design below.
