Huawei Mate 70 series crossed 6.7 million reservations: CEO
Huawei CEO has recently confirmed that the Mate 70 series crossed over 6.7 million reservations. The executive announced the news during an interview. He added that the company’s supply team is working hard to meet the purchasing needs.
He Gang – the CEO of Huawei Consumer Business said that the Mate 70 lineup has received around 6.7 million reservations so far. This eventually shows that the flagship smartphones aren’t lacking consumers’ attention in the Chinese market.
The executive further mentioned that heavy demand for the new handsets led to a slightly tight supply at the moment. Although situations won’t be worse like the Mate 60 last year. The sale situation will be normal within the coming days.
In the interview, He mentioned that the supply chain is working overtime to meet the consumers’ purchasing needs in the market. The official stated:
“Due to the excessive demand, the initial supply is still slightly insufficient. The supply chain team is working overtime and going all out to produce what can be produced at the earliest and bring it to consumers.”
Huawei CEO also talked about the third-party sellers who are constantly increasing the price of the Mate 70 series in the market. He Gang said that the company has taken many actions against such retailers. Consumers can try to maintain a Huawei account or ID card and use it in stores while making purchases.
This will ultimately prevent the mediators from purchasing the devices and selling them at a higher price. Customers will get the device directly and at the original cost.
Huawei Mate 70 series went on sale yesterday (December 4). Within a few hours, the devices were sold out. The company said to restart the sale today and soon refill the stock for consumers. This shows that Mate 70 is still gaining attention in the market.
