Huawei Mate 70 series could feature dual-layer OLED screen
Huawei is implementing useful upgrades to the Mate 70 series and one of these could be a dual-layer OLED panel. The company may adopt the most powerful display solutions for the upcoming flagship phones, offering the best viewing experience.
Earlier, a leak suggested that Huawei may use the dual-layer OLED option for the high-end variant: Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design. However, a new input hints that the tech giant will likely integrate this solution into more Mate 70 handsets.
FixedFocus implies that the Mate 70 series could feature the double-layer OLED screens. Apart from new smartphones, the respective display tech may show up with another flagship tablet this year.
After the Apple iPad Pro, Honor introduced the dual-layer OLED last year with the Magic 6 Ultimate. The double-layer or tandem OLEDs have two layers overlapped on each other. This mechanism enables the screen to run at low power and boost the lifetime of the device’s display.
It further increases the brightness of the device. Simply put, the dual-layer OLED ensures lower power consumption, more vibrant colors, and effective brightness.
Huawei has already introduced a tandem OLED tablet in the market. Thus, it won’t be a surprise if the company implements the same solution to the new Mate lineup.
However, it is unclear whether the company will use this display solution for the high-end variants or keep it standard for all models. We may get to know this soon.
The tech giant will adopt unique and useful components for its “powerful” Mate 70 lineup. Early inputs said that the standard variant may feature a flat screen whereas, the other high-end models could equip quad-curved screens with 2K resolution.
Changes could also be visible in terms of screen size. The Mate 70 models might have bigger display panels than the Pura 70 series. It may bring improved visual effects. Let’s wait for the official unveiling to hit clarity on this matter.
