Huawei Mate 70 series could launch soon and a new leak revealed that the upcoming lineup may have minor design changes. A Weibo tipster has now shared his imagination regarding the upcoming flagship lineup, ahead of its official unveiling.

Mate lineup is well known for its massive circular camera frame at the back side. The changes only appear in the lens arrangement and the optical framework placement. With the Mate 60 devices, Huawei also introduced the three front holes concept.

Now a new leak hints that the company could continue the Mate 60 design for Huawei Mate 70. Tipster @ZiZiPlayingComputer posted a Mate 70 render on Weibo. It shows an upgraded star ring outlook on the rear panel, just like a phonograph record.

It carries a silver-colored circular slate in the middle and shows XMAGE branding. The outer circular ring (thicker than before) houses three lenses with an LED Flash, this time placed at the bottom. This ring has a thick silver edge all around.

One of the images exhibits that the Mate 70 Pro could feature a 60MP main camera with a 48MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 48MP periscope zoom lens. It may equip the Kirin 9100 chipset and deliver “AI-DC” smart features for photography.

The bottom part shows a golden arc cutting the device into two unequal parts. It also highlights Huawei branding, implying better upgrades over the previous models.

Front Side:

Coming on the front part, the Huawei Mate 70 series will likely use a tri-hole design just like the Mate 60 flagship. This further implies the use of  3D face recognition capability. The lineup may sport a quad-curved display with improved visuals.

The right side of the device holds volume rockers and a power button. It has the thinnest bezels, giving a clearer and larger display view. The edges are similar to the Mate 60 handsets.

The front face details are quite in line with early revelations. Some tipsters predicted that Huawei could continue the use of triple-holes for all next-gen Mate 70 phones. For reference, only high-end Mate 60 models have a three-front-hole design.

Consumers may also witness the quad-curved display solution with Mate 70 smartphones. However, a leak suggested that the company could adopt a flat screen for the standard variant whereas, curved display panels for the Pro, Pro+, and Ultimate Design.

Huawei hasn’t confirmed the Mate 70 design so far. Although this render gives a slight idea of how the upcoming flagship lineup could differ from its predecessor. There is still a lot of time to catch the official glimpse. Hence, let’s take these details with a grain of salt.
