Huawei Mate 70 demand continues to ramp up amid supply challenges

Huawei Mate 70 series has resulted in ‘excessive’ market demand right after its launch, creating a bit of pressure on the supply chain team. It seems Chinese consumers are immensely supporting the flagship lineup for its top-notch features.

Mate 70 series went official on November 26. The iconic phones obtained 3 million reservations before launch. But as per the Huawei Consumer Business CEO – He Gang, the figure reached 6.7 million orders within a few days of the release.

That’s quite the opposite of what we heard a few days earlier. Some analysts noted that Mate 70 is facing a ‘lack of enthusiasm’ among consumers in China compared to its predecessor. The analysis was based on online reviews and comments.

A report even stated that the Mate 70 brings fewer improvements over the Mate 60. For instance, Kirin 9020 isn’t very efficient in comparison to its rival chips.

On the other hand, HarmonyOS NEXT excluded Android app support. The step highlights the company’s self-sufficiency but also points out limitations when traveling outside China. Well, here’s something that can help you in this matter.

These points seemed to be the reason behind the low fame of the Mate 70 series in the market. But Huawei’s CEO – He Gang opened a new twist in a recent interview.

Excessive Demand

He Gang said the Huawei Mate 70 series has recorded excessive demand in the market and resulted in a slightly tight supply situation. More than 6.7 million users have booked the flagship device so far and the count continues to increase.

Adding more, the executive mentioned that the supply chain team started working overtime to meet the hot market demand for new handsets. The situation will soon be normal and all consumers will get their most-awaited product shortly.

This implies that the Huawei Mate 70 demand continues to ramp up amid supply challenges. There isn’t any lack of excitement among consumers for the newly launched handsets, for now at least. Mate 70 comes with a range of powerful features, hardware capabilities, and AI tools that easily catch everyone’s attention.

Mate 70 Stock Volume

Supply challenges here refer that the initially prepared stock wasn’t enough for registered users. Even though the standard Mate 70 has sufficient stock, consumers seemed more thrilled for the Mate 70 Pro and Pro+ models.

Regarding the supply chain, the good news is that the company has urgently increased the Mate 70 series production by 30%. The stock volume has risen by 17 million units to fulfill consumers’ purchasing needs in the smartphone market.
