Huawei Mate 60 series to use Chinese PA chips for new satellite technology

Huawei Mate 60 series could use PA (power amplifier) chips manufactured by Chinese chip makers for Tiantong-1 satellite mobile communication system.

This satellite has functions such as voice communication, image transmission, positioning, and data reporting. It can set up satellite Internet of Things to realize real-time monitoring and equipment. Conveniences such as inspections and emergency rescues reduce the operation and maintenance costs of the power transmission and transformation process.

The satellite call feature in devices requires PA chips, which are now launched with Huawei Mate X3 and P60 series. However, both of these phones support two-way satellite communication SMS.

Power amplifiers (PA) chips, amplify the high-frequency signal output from communication IC (RF-IC) to the required output and supply it to an antenna.

In 4G phones, it requires about 5-7 PA chips and 5G phones require about 16. Currently, there’s no confirmation available about the PA chips that Huawei would use for the Mate 60 series.

According to a past leak, Huawei is preparing to unveil the Mate 60 series next month and it will bring a new large circular camera system on the rear along with a massive change in the front.
