Huawei Mate 60 series smart island notch detailed in new leak
Today, we got to see a new revelation on the upcoming Huawei Mate 60 Series smart island notch. Thanks to the latest leak, which shows an amusing outlook.
Tipster FixedFocus shared an image of the Huawei Mate 60 series and its front design. The wide pill shape cutout on the top center is functional.
The appearance is different than iPhone 14 series and also from some of the Android devices, which attempted to clone this display design.
The left side of the notch probably contains a selfie camera and on the other side, there could be a 3D facial map recognition system.
The smart island on the Huawei Mate 60 series has enough black space in the middle of the notch. This situation is identical to the latest iPhone Pro models but it used a few pixels in the notch to show small notifications dot.
The screen has curved edges on the left and right sides but it seems wider than Huawei P50 Pro. Also, the corners are boxy and it’s good.
Yes, it’s a third-party CAD render and not official but the tipster has a record of sharing such leaks with high accuracy. Moreover, the entirety of the illustration is much cleaner than before.
HMOS 4.0 Animations
You should know that Huawei has customized HarmonyOS 4.0 around this Huawei Mate 60 series notch and made it more competitive against the upcoming iOS 17 and iPhone 15.
Specifically, the new HarmonyOS operating system will bring new animations including seamless expansion and smooth elements shift. Currently, Huawei has not shared an official launch date for this smartphone and we’ll have to wait for more details on this matter.
