Huawei Mate 60 series picks June 2024 update with new smart scanning feature

Huawei Mate 60 series is receiving the new June 2024 update and its enhancements with the HarmonyOS 4.2.0.130 version. Ensure to have sufficient storage space and battery level before proceeding with the firmware installation.

What is Smart Scanning Feature?
Also known as Smart Vision, the feature enables you to scan files and documents, extract text or tables, remove handwriting, and more. It eases you for quick scans or payments via the phone’s rear camera in the desktop mode.
How to use: Double tap on the device’s back or click on the QR code prompt box as it appears on the screen. You will hear a ‘beep’ sound on a successful recognition. This directs you to the service page. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the process.
When an authorized payment code or multiple payment codes show at the same time, the default payment method will automatically pop up at first. It’s already available for Mate 50, Pura 70, and Mate X3 series and reaches Mate 60 Pro+/RS models.

Other changes include enhanced telephoto as well as portrait shooting effects, refinements to certain apps and system settings, and a June 2024 security patch. The update is rolling out for all Mate 60 series models gradually.
