Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ tipped to soon get a price drop of $138
Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ is one of the excellent smartphone models and it seems the respective device will soon get a significant price drop. Amid the Pura 70 series launch dilemma, the company could reduce the cost of last year’s flagship phones.
According to tipster @FixedFocus, Huawei Mate 60 Pro+ could soon see a price drop worth 1000 yuan ($138). However, the exact timing of this cost-cutting is currently unknown. Perhaps the company might make this change in the coming days.
Note that the original price of the Mate 60 Pro+ handset is 8999 yuan ($1243). But a price reduction will let you purchase the top-end model for 7999 yuan ($1105).
It seems Huawei is planning to boost the strength of previous premium handsets ahead of the new product launch. A few netizens cited that the company doesn’t want to compromise the Mate 60 series’ popularity due to the all-new Pura 70 series.
An early rumor said that Huawei is seeking to discontinue the base version of the Mate 60 lineup in favor of upcoming flagship products. The details mentioned that if not a complete shutdown, there could be a reduction in the Mate 60 production.
But Huawei denied the alleged statements and said that things are working fine with the Mate 60 models and there are no such plans from the company’s side.
