Huawei Mate 60 Pro recently went through the DXOMARK screen test and showed improved results over its predecessor – Mate 50 Pro. The device received a mid-rank in the global screen listing with effective grades under readability aspects.

DXOMARK evaluated the Huawei Mate 60 Pro screen under many test activities and gave 143 points. The phone obtained 163 points for color, 136 points for video quality, 117 points for motion, and 167/123 points for Touch and Artifact respectively.

Mate 60 Pro position in the global ranking is 26th whereas, it reached the 22nd place under the Ultra-Premium listing. Eventually, the phone has possessed a peak brightness of more than 1700nits which is far ahead of the previous-gen models.

On the other hand, the handset owns an “HDR Images” feature (turned on by default) which enhances the display quality of high dynamic range pictures. Screen color is another strong point of the Huawei Mate 60 Pro display.

DXOMARK says:

Huawei Mate 60 Pro display provides a very satisfying user experience overall, achieving a global score a couple of points higher than the Mate 50 Pro handset. The latest version’s screen has shown notable improvements in motion, touch attributes, and artifact management.

Display Specifications:

Huawei Mate 60 Pro equips a 6.83-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2720 × 1260 pixels and 423 PPI. It has a 120 Hz LTPO refresh rate, a 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming rate, a 300 Hz touch sampling rate, and a P3 wide color gamut.

The device features Huawei imaging display technology. This capability ensures the presentation of real colors with professional color accuracy, and precise immersive touch, as well as remains easy to operate.

Pros and Cons:

DXOMARK mentions that the Huawei Mate 60 Pro screen draws an accurate color rendering in most of the ambient lighting environments. The touch experience is fluid, precise, and responsive. It further offers a comfortable reading experience.

However, the lacking points appear in showing the details under direct sunlight. Besides, the device resulted in long shutters and frequency overlap while playing video games. Another drawback is the lack of details and brightness in the darkest areas, especially when watching HDR10 video clips.
