Huawei Mate 60 series sales are going smoothly as of the first week of October in China and a report reveals that this new Huawei flagship has more activations than its rival iPhone 15.

According to third-party statistics from China, the number of Huawei Mate 60 series activations from August 29 to October 1st has reached 1.694 million units. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 series in the first two weeks of sale reached 1.549 million units. For now, the Huawei Mate 60 series achieved over 500,000 units of activation volume per week.

As an estimate, the activation count of the Huawei Mate 60 series should be 2.7 million units. And, the actual sales of the Huawei Mate 60 series could exceed 2.7 million by the date.

Launched on August 29, the Huawei Mate 60 Pro began sale on the very first day. The tech maker organized a pre-sale program, which allows users to buy the retail unit from online and offline sale channels.

iPhone 15 made its debut on September 12 but its sales in China began in the third week of the month. There’s a difference in sales and launch date of these two smartphones but both of these firms have different circumstances.

Huawei kept the Mate 60 Pro unveiling simple without a major showcase. Despite being backed down for the last three years, the Chinese tech company made a huge comeback with the 5G network. This is creating headlines and gaining industry-wide attention.

However, the progress and popularity of the iPhone 15 are also remarkable. Thus creating a compelling competition between Huawei and Apple.

Still, in terms of features, connectivity, and design, Huawei Mate 60 Pro and its top models such as Mate 60 RS are creating a sudden impact on first-time buyers. Meanwhile, iPhones are also experiencing large consumer demand.
