Huawei Mate 50 Pro is now getting January 2024 update, EMUI 14 yet to come
Huawei is rolling out a new software update for its latest Mate-series flagship phone Huawei Mate 50 Pro and it comes with EMUI version 13.0.0.270.
The update package contains important security patches released in January 2024 for better system safety. Other than that, the Huawei Mate 50 Pro is now long-standing with EMUI 13 software upgraded.
The phone has not yet received a major upgrade over EMUI 14 or anything similar for the past year. The Mate 50 Pro is entitled to get monthly security patches but there hasn’t been anything significant added to this phone since its launch.
Last year, Huawei unveiled the Mate 60 series in China and the phone is not selling to global customers.
Huawei Mate 50 Pro is the first phone that comes with a variable aperture camera system to enable different types of photography modes.
The design contains a wide notch to house a camera system including a facial recognition system for security authentication. It also allows you to take high-quality selfies.
The phone is IP-rated for water resistance and comes in an Orange leather version.
The phone is receiving new HarmonyOS patches and OTA updates support with new features. Hence, Huawei should be making an EMUI 14 upgrade plan for the Huawei Mate 50 Pro before it gets 2 years old.
