Huawei Mate 50 Pro getting July 2023 EMUI update

Huawei Mate 50 Pro is receiving July 2023 EMUI update, which is the latest addition to this flagship. The phone is getting this update following the Huawei P40 Pro.

Huawei Mate 50 Pro users can identify this update with EMUI version 13.0.0.232 with software package version 363 MB. The package contains July 2023 security patch to fix 2 issues on the critical level and 17 threats on the high-level security threats in the phone.

You should know that Huawei Mate 50 Pro was launched with EMUI 13.0 out of the box. However, the phone is also entitled to receive another feature pack major software update ahead of EMUI 14.0.

Since other phones are currently testing EMUI 13 for the upcoming release, it’s time for Mate 50 Pro to also get new capabilities. EMUI 13.1 is the right place to start because it has several new improvements in the software area including better animations and subtle improvements for a user experience.

Meanwhile, in China, Huawei has already sent two major updates for the Mate 50 Pro. First is the performance enhancement update, after installation, the phone users reported experiencing a new speed boost.

The second update rolled out in place of HarmonyOS 3.1, which is equivalent to EMUI 13.1. However, the company kept the version unchanged at HarmonyOS 3.0.
