Huawei Mate 50 helped lost photographer with Satellite communication feature

Huawei Mate 50 series is packed with a lot of wonders including the satellite communication feature, which recently helped a lost photographer to return home.

According to the information, three outdoor photographer friends were shooting wild animals in the Gongger Grassland in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, during the shooting, there was a sudden snowstorm occurred, and the low visibility, one of them separated from the group and lost in the snowstorm.

Since the travel friend is located in an uninhabited area and there was no network signal, when he was cold and hungry and was about to lose temperature, the traveler suddenly realized that his Huawei Mate 50 has a satellite communication feature.

Afterward, the lost photographer sent a distress SMS to his friend with Huawei Mate 50 and his group mates found him based on the location. Some people said that satellite communication technology is too practical for people who often go into the wild.

This feature lets you send an SMS to a recipient, which doesn’t require the smartphone to have a mobile network, as it runs through Satellite. Users will have to point out the phone towards the sky, match the satellite signal and send the message.
