Last December, Huawei initially started the HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta testing program for some flagship devices including Huawei Mate 30, P40, and MatePad Pro. This is to deliver the test build and to check the performance as well as issues that arrive in the features of HarmonyOS 2.0.

After the months of HarmonyOS 2.0 beta, Huawei has upgraded the closed developer beta to the public developer beta testing and recruit 19 new devices to test HarmonyOS 2.0 ahead of large-scale rollout, which will start in early June.

In early May, the Chinses tech giant has released the HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile developer third beta version for consumers in the mainland. This testing update brought new apps, fixes some known issues, and more.

Now, Huawei has pushed HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta 3 for Mate 40 series smartphones that can be identified with HarmonyOS 2.0 developer beta version 2.0.0.106 and an update package size of 0.99GB.
