Huawei has now launched a storage expansion series for old flagship devices including the Huawei Mate 40 series, which could now expand up to 512GB of ROM. The company has taken this step to increase the user experience of the Mate 40 series consumers.

According to the information, Huawei Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and Mate 40 RS Porsche Design are now eligible to upgrade motherboard storage and storage upgrade to 512GB at a price tag of 999 yuan (149 USD). Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro models also support memory upgrades from 128GB to 256GB at a price tag of 559 yuan (83 USD).

Huawei has ruled in some general conditions to be eligible to engage in such an offer, including selfless dismantling, private repair, no motherboard breakage, solder joint falling off, chip private repair, liquid entry, corrosion, and deformation, and similar.

Additionally, the consumer needs to fix the display (if broken or damaged) to get eligible for such a memory expansion plan.

The entire upgrade plan includes high-quality equipment used in the service center’s Maintainance zone. While the timeline of the upgrade process could be around 10 days with the handling of the device back into consumers’ hands.

There’s more to know, the warranty of the new motherboard memory will follow the device’s warranty if the device is still under warranty. However, if the warranty is under 90 days the motherboard warranty period will extend further by 90 days.
