A previous leak of Huawei Mate 40 Pro display protector revealed that the Huawei Mate 40 Pro will feature with a large curved display and now there’s more interesting information that has surfaced on the device’s display.

According to a tipster from Weibo, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro will equip with a large and more curved panel compared to the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. On the other, the back glass on the Huawei Mate 40 Pro is small, thus, giving the main display more room to reach the back curve of the device.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro, launched last year, sports a 6.53-inch OLED Horizon AKA waterfall display with 88-degree curved edges. The phone has no physical volume adjustment keys, instead, its display works as a touch density controls and users can adjust the sound by double-tapping on the side of the display.

This virtual touch interaction also replaces the requirement for a game controller and allows you to add two virtual keys on the edge of the screen. You have the power to pre-set the buttons to move, scope, aim, and shoot at the same time with quick and easy action of four finger/quad finger controls.

The virtual side-touch also enables the user to put the camera shutter button on the edges of each side.

Currently, if the Huawei goes with a larger display curve, then it may also “delete” the power button, which was available in the Mate 30 Pro.

Relatively, Huawei has also applied for a patent related to the new virtual key system possible for the upcoming flagship adding more features such as a virtual power key.

Huawei Mate 40 series will launch in the fourth quarter of 2020. However, an official announcement is yet to come.
